Hijab row: Karnataka takes action; watch what Bommai govt said in its order

Seeking to end the hijab (head scarf) controversy in education institutions in Karnataka that has begun taking political colour, BJP led Bommai government banned clothes that ‘disturb equality, integrity & public order’ in schools & colleges. The government invoked section 133 (2) of Karnataka education act-1983, which states that a uniform style of clothes has to be worn compulsorily. Karnataka govt’s order came after hijab controversy began spilling to other colleges in the state. Several Congress leaders have stood behind students demanding hijab. Watch the full video for more.
