How will India elect its new President? Process explained as polls on July 18

  • The Election Commission has announced the date for Presidential polls. The polls to choose the next President of India will be held on July 18 while the counting, will be held on July 21 if required. There has been speculation that President Ram Nath Kovind will not get a second term in office and the new candidate is likely to be announced soon.
