'If Twitter invokes US laws...': RS Prasad's warning to social media giant

IT & Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad lashed out at Twitter at the India Global Forum London. The social media giant had blocked RS Prasad’s account for an hour on 25 June on the basis of a copyright violation complaint. The minister asked social media companies to comply with Indian laws if they are working and earning India and that they have to cognizance of India’s laws if they are invoking US copyright laws.
