Immediate priority': UK PM Liz Truss assures India on Free Trade deal

British High Commissioner to India said that that signing the free trade deal with India will be the best way to celebrate Diwali. His statement comes on the day British Prime Minister Liz Truss told reporters in New York that instead of a trans-Atlantic deal with U.S, her immediate priority was to secure the FTA with India and Gulf Cooperation Council. British Ambassador Alex Ellis as well as India's Joint Secretary of Ministry of Commerce & Industry suggested that trade talks between the two countries have reached the final stage and is on track to meet the Diwali deadline.
