In a first, Air India's all-women crew lands longest flight from US to Bengaluru

• An all-women cockpit crew scripted history after landing Air India's inaugural San Francisco-Bengaluru flight at Kempegowda International Airport. The crew flew the flight over the North Pole, taking the Atlantic route to reach the Karnataka capital at the other end of the world. This was Air India's longest direct route flight with an all-women pilot team. Flight AI176 departed from San Francisco in the USA at around 8.30 pm (local time) on Saturday and landed at the Kempegowda International Airport at around 3.45 am (local time) on Monday. “Today, we created world history by not only flying over the North Pole but also by having all women pilots who successfully did it. We are extremely happy and proud to be part of it,” said Captain Zoya Aggarwal. This was the first direct non-stop flight between the west coast of United States & southern India.
