India gets French backing for UNSC bid ahead of its Security Council Presidency

• France has reiterated its commitment to support India's bid for permanent membership at the UN Security Council. The French Foreign Minister who is currently in India for a three-day visit to review bilateral ties said that the country has mobilised itself so that India can get its rightfully deserved place at UNSC. India has been at the forefront of efforts to reform the Security Council saying it rightly deserves a place as a permanent member.
