India shows the way on Afghanistan crisis; 200 crore for Afghans in Budget

India allocated 200 crore as aid for Afghanistan in its Union budget for 2022-23. The aid is a signal of New Delhi’s continuing commitment to the war-torn country. People familiar with the matter said ‘It is a signal that India is not switching off’. The money may be spent on paying for old projects, scholarships and providing aid to the people. FM Sitharaman allocated a total of 17,250 crore to the Ministry of External Affairs in the Budget for the next fiscal. 6,292 crore is for development assistance to countries in India's neighbourhood, Africa & Latin America. India has not recognised the new regime in Afghanistan and is batting for the formation of a truly inclusive govt. Watch the full video for more.
