India slams Pak-sponsored cross-border terrorism; Rajnath for anti-terror fight

Defence minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday urged the SCO member states to jointly fight and eliminate terrorism, including the cross-border variety, calling the menace one of the most serious challenges to global peace and security. He said that Afghan territory must not be used to intimidate or attack any country by providing safe havens and training to terrorists. Rajnath was addressing a meeting of defence ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in the Uzbekistan capital of Tashkent.
