- The Indian Military Academy held a passing out parade of 425 cadets in Dehradun. The parade was held at the Chetwode Building Drill Square on Saturday. Lt Gen RP Singh, Western Army Commander, took the salute of parade as reviewing officer. Like last year, parents of the cadets didn't join the passing out parade in view of Covid. The peeping and Oath Ceremony was held after the passing out parade. 425 Cadets of the passing out batch will become an integral part of Indian & Foreign Army. 341 of the young military officers will go to the Indian Army as lieutenants. 84 officers will be part of forces of nine friendly nations including Afghanistan, Bhutan. IMA's passing out parade symbolises the culmination of rigorous training & transformation of a cadet into a young officer.
