India-Pak talks soon? Modi govt reiterates India's stance on 'peace' talks with Pakistan

India has responded to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's appeal for peace with India, saying that there should be a conducive atmosphere that does not have terrorism, hostility, or violence for talks to happen. MEA said that India's position on the matter remains the same. The statement came after Shehbaz Sharif, in an interview with Al Arabiya news channel, said Pakistan learned its lesson from wars with India and now wants peace provided 'burning issues', such as Kashmir, are resolved.
