International Women’s Day: Women MPs seek passage of Women’s Reservation Bill

Several women Parliamentarians raised the issue of the Women’s Reservation Bill in Rajya Sabha while speaking on International Women’s day. Chhaya Verma from the Congress, Priyanka Chaturvedi from the Shiv Sena, Fauzia Khan from the NCP raised the pitch for the passage of the bill. ‘24 years ago, we proposed a 33% reservation for women in Parliament. Today, 24 years later, we should raise this to 50% reservation for women in Parliament and assembly,’ Priyanka Chaturvedi said. Watch the full video for all the details.
