Jaishankar’s dig amid question on India as soft power; ‘Don’t promote chips'

- External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke about India being a soft power while interacting with the Indian diaspora in Bangkok. A 16-year-old girl asked Jaishankar why India doesn't exert its soft power in Thailand like Korea. Jaishankar said that the beauty of soft power was that it was not influenced by the government. He highlighted how India has been a strong soft power by citing example of the International Yoga Day. He also took a dig claiming that India doesn't promote potato chips to remain a soft power.
