Kamala Harris exposes Pakistan’s role in terror during maiden meet with PM Modi

- US Vice-President Kamala Harris called upon Pakistan to act against terrorist groups operating from its soil to ensure they do not threaten the security of both the United States and India. Harris ‘suo moto' referred to Pakistan's role in terrorism during her meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to MEA, Harris mentioned that there were terror groups working in Pakistan. She also asked Islamabad to take action so that it doesn't threaten the security of India & US. PM Modi held the meeting with Harris at the White House on Day 1 of his three-day trip to the US. During the leaders' maiden meet, they decided to further cement Indo-US strategic partnership. They discussed global issues including threats to democracy, Afghanistan & Indo-Pacific. PM Modi also thanked Harris for extending support to India during the second wave of Covid-19. PM Modi went on to extend Harris, who is of Indian descent, an invitation to visit India.
