Ladakh: First-ever ice wall climbing competition; 100 ITBP climbers participate

- The Indo-Tibetan Border Police organized the first-ever ice wall climbing competition in Ladakh on Sunday. More than 100 climbers from 13 teams are participating in this event. The North-West Frontier headquarters, ITBP, Leh organized the competition in collaboration with the Ladakh Mountaineering Guide Association (LMGA). Ladakh Lt Governor R K Mathur on Saturday attended the opening ceremony of the Ice Wall Climbing Competition and said events like this along with snow and ice sculpture can help Ladakh become a winter destination for tourists.
