'Liz Truss knows India well': Why India-UK FTA is likely to be inked by Diwali

- The conclusion of comprehensive free trade agreement (FTA) with India will be one of the priorities in front for Liz Truss, as she takes charge of 10 Downing street. India and the UK are on track to conclude negotiations for a free trade pact by Diwali, and the two sides have finalised 19 out of 26 chapters. Indian commerce secretary BVR Subrahmanyam has said that the 'Diwali deadline is not going to be missed. Mark my words'
