Mother Teresa Charity Row: Modi govt clarifies after Mamata tweet stoked storm

A political row erupted on Monday after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee claimed that Modi government has blocked the bank accounts of Missionaries of Charity organisation which was founded by Mother Teresa. However Union Ministry of Home Affairs quickly clarified that no such move was taken by the Government and that the Charity itself had requested State Bank of India to freeze its accounts. The MHA however said that it has denied Charity's request to renew the FCRA registration due to adverse reports. Watch the video for full details.
