Delhi: Dozens of dead crows raise bird flu alarm; other states battle outbreak

- The death of an unusual number of crows in Delhi's Mayur Vihar Phase 3 have raised concerns of bird flu, or avian influenza, reaching the national capital. A local councillor said that around a hundred crows died at a park in a matter of 3-4 days. At least six states are officially affected by the outbreak so far. These include Kerala, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan. The government has advised proper cooking of poultry products to prevent transmission in humans.
