PM Modi speaks on replacing Rajiv Gandhi with Dhyan Chand in Khel Ratna name

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recalled his decision to rename Khel Ratna award after Major Dhyan Chand. “The country's highest sports award has now been named the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna award. I am confident that Dada’s name associated with Khel Ratna will inspire millions of people,” said PM Modi. He was speaking at the launch of Ujjwala 2.0 - the second phase of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. He distributed free gas connections to 10 women virtually in UP’s Mahoba.
