CPI(M) Politburo member Brinda Karat recently made headlines after she was seen standing in front of bulldozers trying to stop them from demolishing alleged illegal structures in Delhi's violence-hit Jahangirpuri. The Communist leader believes that bulldozers are being used selectively against the believers of one religion -- Islam -- and the others who took out illegal processions have running scot free. In an interview to Hindustan Times, Karat said that she wants action to be taken against all including those who took out armed illegal processions and resorted to provocation and not just stone-pelters.
