Putin vs Zelensky fight amid Ukraine war; Russia designates Meta an 'extremist' organisation

Russia's justice ministry has added Facebook's parent company, Meta, to its list of extremist organizations. Earlier this year, a Russian court had ruled that Meta had engaged in 'extremist activity' by allowing hate speech against Russians on its platform. Meta had tweaked its own rule to allow severe anti-Russia content on its platform which even the UN had condemned. Moscow has restricted access to Facebook and Instagram since then.
