Rajput or Gurjar? Prithviraj Chauhan's caste triggers row in UP's Shamli

- A controversy has erupted in U.P's Shamli over the installation of 12th-century ruler Prithviraj Chauhan's statue. Gurjar community has objected to the word 'Rajput Samrat' written on the publicity material of the statue. They claimed that Prithviraj was a Gurjar and not a Rajput. After the objection, the organisers replaced the word with 'Hindu Hriday Samrat' to end the controversy. However, few villagers objected to the name change saying the organisers should not have succumbed to the pressure of the Gurjar community. Watch this video to know more.
