As Afghanistan remains on edge, India has issued a fresh security alert for its nationals. The Indian Embassy in Kabul advised Indian nationals to avoid non-essential travel in the war torn country. The advisory has warned Indian citizens of threats by terror groups. The embassy also advised the Indian media personnel travelling to Afghanistan to establish contacts with it for a better assessment of the risks involved, and cited "recent tragic events", in a reference to the killing of Indian photojournalist Danish Siddiqui in Kandahar on July 16.
