‘Sharif Govt dying to…’: Ex-Pak high commissioner reveals Islamabad wants to mend India ties

Pakistan is struggling to cope with one of the worst economic crises since its birth. Despite the grim economic situation, India-Pak talks are far from reality. While Shehbaz Sharif's minister spews venom against India on the global stage, a former Pakistani high commissioner, Abdul Basit, has revealed the truth about Islamabad. In a video on his YouTube channel, Basit said that Pakistan is dying to mend ties with India. Meanwhile, India has once again blasted 'terror hub' Pakistan in the detailed annual report of the ministry of external affairs for 2021–2022. Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif called for 'serious and sincere' talks with India. In January 2023, Sharif said that Pakistan has learned its lessons after three wars with India.' However, India won't extend the hand of diplomacy unless Pakistan ends its 'terror tactics.'
