Sri Lanka thanks 'Brother' India after record lending; ‘China a close friend’

'China is a close friend but India is our brother and sister', says Sri Lankan envoy to India Milinda Moragoda when asked whether the Chinese military ship visit at Hambantota undermined India’s interests. Moragoda described the relationship between two countries as 'special' & said India's security interests are 'Sri Lanka's own security interests'. The comments come just a day after India surpassed China to become the largest bilateral lender to the island nation Sri Lanka.
