China’s foreign minister Wang Yi is likely to visit India at the end of this month, though the trip is not yet fully locked in and dates have not been confirmed, people familiar with the development told Hindustan Times. If the visit goes as planned, it will be the first by a senior Chinese leader to India after the two countries locked horns in a dragging military standoff in Ladakh sector of the Line of Actual Control (LAC) since May 2020. The people said that the proposal for the visit came from the Chinese side. Watch the video for more details.
