  • Amid the ongoing farmers’ protest, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the new farm laws will mostly benefit small and marginal farmers of the country. While addressing a gathering via video conferencing after laying foundation stone and inaugurating projects at Maharaja Suheldev Memorial in Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich, PM Modi hit out at the opposition. He said, “Those who used to invite foreign firms in India are now protesting against the government which is trying to give opportunity to the Indian private companies. Farmers themselves have unmasked those politicians who have been spreading rumours against these laws.” Prime Minister also said that 'Svamitva Scheme' is being run across the country to protect the lands of farmers.
