- The BJP has expelled corporator turned 'child trafficker' Vineeta Agarwal. The suspension comes after massive embarrassment for the party following the arrest of Agarwal for allegedly buying a baby from child traffickers. Vineeta Agarwal and her husband Krishna Murari Agrawal were among 8 who have been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police for 'child theft'. On August 24, a seven-month-old baby old was abducted from Mathura railway station. The crime was caught on CCTV, which showed the abductor stealing the baby who was sleeping next to his mother on the platform. The footage of this incident was released by the U.P police in search of leads after which the video went viral on social media, resulting in arrests. Full detail in this report.
