U.P cops crackdown on Chinese nationals residing without visas in Noida; 15 held

  • 15 Chinese nationals residing without valid visas were detained on Monday in Uttar Pradesh's Gautam Buddh Nagar. The U.P police had launched an intensive campaign for verification of foreigners living in the city. The police action came after a Chinese national suspected to have hawala links was arrested earlier, in June. Of those detained, two were living in Greater Noida while the rest were in different areas of Noida. The state police is on a verification drive to track foreigners living in Noida without visa.
