Viral: Netizens heap praise on ‘heroes’ as Tiger crosses river to reach jungle

- Two videos shared by an Indian Forest Service officer on Twitter are proof of how strong swimmers Tigers can be. The first video shared by Ramesh Pandey showed a young tiger fighting to stay afloat in the swollen Gerua river in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich as it is tossed by strong currents. The Girijapuri barrage is in northern Uttar Pradesh, and the area in the video is near the Katarniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary. The barrage gates were closed and this prevented it from being swept further down. Sharing the second video he wrote, “However, the tiger being a powerful and great swimmer could cross the river against the current, and reached the jungles of Katerniaghat, part of Dudhwa Tiger Reserve." Netizens were happy that the majestic beast survived in the end. Watch this video for more details.
