Janata Dal (Secular) MP from Karnataka's Hassan, Prajwal Revanna, skipped Special Investigation Team (SIT) summons launched to probe the sexual assault case against him. Meanwhile, a case was lodged against Samajwadi Party leader Maria Alam after she appealed to the people to practice "vote jihad" in the Lok Sabha elections. In another development, days after Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely stepped down from his post citing the party’s alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party, two more former MLAs Neeraj Basoya and Naseeb Singh resigned from the Congress party.
