Watch: Nitin Gadkari clarifies on Chinese investment in Indian highway projects

- Are Chinese companies continuing to participate in Indian highway projects? Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari was asked this question by news agency PTI in an interview. The minister replied in the negative, stating that no Chinese investment has happened in highway projects in the recent past. In July 2020, when India and China were facing off along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh, Gadkari had reportedly said that Chinese firms would not be allowed to participate in highway projects.
