Watch: PM Modi releases ₹1,600 crore for women self-help groups

- Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded women self-help groups in India and said these groups can help to connect villages to prosperity. Participating in the "Aatmanirbhar Narishakti se Samvad", the prime minister interacted with the women self-help groups (SHGs) promoted under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) via video-conferencing. He also released capitalisation support funds to the tune of ₹1,625 crore to over four lakh SHGs. In his remarks, the prime minister said in a changing India, opportunities are increasing for the sisters and daughters of the country to move forward. Watch the full video for more details.
