'No leadership...': Ashwani Kumar quits Congress after 46 years amid polls

- In a massive setback for Congress amid the ongoing assembly elections, former Law Minister Ashwani Kumar quit the grand old party today. He tendered his resignation to Congress working president Sonia Gandhi. The veteran leader and a close aide of Gandhi family, ended his 46 year-long association with Congress. He said that the Congress is not what it used to be and that the party has lost touched with its roots. He also said that there is no transformative and inspiring leader left in the party.
