When to expect guidelines for OTT platforms? I&B Minister Javadekar answers

- Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar spoke said in Rajya Sabha that the Centre would soon bring guidelines to regulate content on OTT platforms. Javadekar’s response came after BJP MP Mahesh Poddar said that content on OTT platforms are an assault on India’s value systems. He further alleged that the language used in many such shows reflect gender discrimination and are abusive. ‘We have been getting suggestions and complaints regarding this everyday and we are almost ready with the guidelines and directions,’ Javadekar said.
