Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh met Congress president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi. The meeting took place at Sonia's residence on Tuesday amid infighting in the state unit. Singh said Sonia's decisions on changes in organisation and government will be acceptable. The Meeting was part of party leadership's efforts to end factionalism in the poll-bound state. It lasted around 90 minutes and the two leaders discussed governance and political matters. Rahul Gandhi and senior leader Mallikarjun Kharge were also present during the meet. “Whatever decision the Congress president takes, we will implement it in Punjab. Decisions taken by Congress chief on anything, party and government will be acceptable. The party was all geared up for the upcoming assembly elections in the state,” the Punjab CM said after meeting the Congress chief.
