German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Sunday that U.S. tariffs "would hit the German export economy to the core." Merz also criticized Israel's attacks on Gaza, saying "the current situation in the Gaza Strip is unacceptable" and called for a 2-state solution for the Palestinians.
