PM Modi asks IAF to assist in evacuating Indians from Ukraine; C17 to join ops

- The Indian government is scaling up evacuation efforts in war-torn Ukraine. Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked IAF to help with Operation Ganga. The Indian Air Force is set to deploy C-17 globemaster aircraft to help with evacuation of Indians. This comes after Russian troops closed in on Ukraine's capital Kyiv. Till now, over 1800 Indians have been brought back home on 9 special Air India flights from neighbouring countries in Ukraine. Stranded Indians including students are required to travel to the borders from their location in Ukraine to catch the evacuation flights. Watch this video for more details.
