Putin’s revenge unleashed? Russia slams Ukraine with massive 400+ drones after top General shot

Russia has launched one of its largest combined drone and missile assaults yet, striking Ukraine’s already fragile energy infrastructure and plunging millions into darkness, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky. Moscow reportedly fired more than 400 combat drones along with over 40 precision missiles in a coordinated overnight barrage across multiple Ukrainian regions. Emergency power cut-offs were imposed nationwide as crews raced to repair critical grid damage. The attack comes amid rising tensions following a shocking assassination attempt in Moscow’s suburbs against Lt. Gen. Vladimir Alexeyev, the first deputy head of Russia’s G.R.U. military intelligence. Russian officials have blamed Ukraine, warning the strike could derail any peace prospects.
