REPORT: Russian mercenaries moved to Ukraine; Putin blames US for war situation
Published on Feb 02, 2022 04:43 pm IST
- Russian President Vladimir Putin has lashed out at NATO and the United States in his first public response on the Ukraine crisis. Accusing the West of deliberately creating a scenario designed to lure it into war, Putin claimed that Russia's security concerns over Ukraine were being ignored. Interestingly, Putin's remarks come at a time when reports suggest that his private army - Wagner has pulled out its troops from Africa and are being sent to Ukraine's border. The report claims that this is the first time since 2020, when the Russian mercenaries were first deployed in the Central African Republic, that the troops are being shifted in large numbers to Ukraine's borders. Watch for more details.
