Teen Shiva bags gold at Asian Olympic qualifiers

After securing berth for the London Olympics, Indian Boxer Shiva Thapa has claimed a gold medal in the 56kg category at the Asian Olympic qualifiers in Astana. The 18-year-old Assamese defeated Syrian opponent Wessam Safamana in the title clash by a score of 18 to 11. Thapa had secured his berth at the London Olympics by beating Japan's Satoshi Shimizu in the semi final.
