Harris’ ‘lost to China’ jibe Vs Pence’s ‘cheerleader’ counter l US VP debate

Mike Pence and Kamala Harris sparred over the trade war with China during the US vice presidential debate 2020. Harris taunted Pence saying that the Trump administration lost the trade war with China and that cost US thousands of jobs. She added that the trade war forced American people to pay thousands of dollars more for goods. Harris said that by the end of the term, they will have lost more jobs than any other presidential administration. Pence hit back immediately arguing that Biden did not even fight with China and has been a cheerleader for the Communist party of China for decades. Pence argued that Trump stood up to China which he claimed had been taking advantage of the United States for many decades. Pence added that China is to blame for Coronavirus and President Trump has made it clear that he is not happy about it.
