United Kingdom's ambassador to the United States of America resigned after diplomatic cables, containing his comments about the Donald Trump administration, were leaked. Kim Darroch had referred to the Trump government as 'inept, insecure and incompetent'. Commenting on the resignation, UK Prime Minister Theresa May hailed Darroch's service to the nation and said that all public servants should feel confident enough to give frank advice. Meanwhile, advisor to the US President, Ivanka Trump, avoided questions about the diplomat.
