Amid the wait for the pause in fighting to begin, Israeli and Palestinian envoys clashed at the United Nations. Palestinian ambassador Riyad Mansour said, "This cannot be just a pause before the massacre starts all over again. While Israel claims it is respecting the laws of war, it was not able to restrain itself from confessing to its crimes."
