Watch: Trump’s long pause over ‘poisoning’ of Putin rival Navalny; critics slam

Donald Trump's critics found fresh ammunition to target him over the alleged poisoning of Russian Opposition leader Alexei Navalny. The President of the United States of America was asked who he thinks poisoned Navalny, one of Russian President Vladimir Putin's fiercest critics. Trump took a long pause, and then said he would speak on the issue later. Trump has been accused by his rivals of being soft on the US' traditional rival Russia ever since he came to power. Navalny recently fell critically ill on a flight from Siberia to Moscow. He was admitted to a Russian hospital for 2 days before being airlifted to a German hospital. After his condition improved, Navalny claimed that laboratories in France, Sweden and Germany had found traces of the poison novichok in his body. His supporters have claimed that this shows the involvement of the Russian government in his poisoning.
