The Communist Party of China (CPC) adopted a rare resolution, elevating Chinese President Xi Jinping’s stature. This puts Xi on the same pedestal as CPC stalwarts Mao Zedong and Deng Xiaoping. The resolution was passed at the end of a four-day meeting in Beijing. Chinese President now looks to secure a third term as country’s leader in late 2022 – an unprecedented move in modern China’s history.
