Xi pressurizes Taiwan post 2nd U.S delegation visit; China sanctions 7 officials

• China is infuriated as the second U.S delegation visited Taiwanese capital. Beijing has imposed sanctions on seven Taiwan ‘secessionist’ officials & lawmakers. The Chinese administration accused these officials of being "independence diehards". Taiwan's ruling DPP leader Lin Fei-Fan said 'it was an honour to be added to the sanctions list'. The Sanctions will have little practical impact as senior Taiwanese officials do not visit China. However, this is not the first time China has imposed restrictions on Taiwan.
