Australia eases immigration norms to woo skilled migrants

In a bid to extract skilled manpower, Peter Speldewinde, Assistant secretary of Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) on Friday announced reformed immigration policies for those who hope to migrate to the country while stressing on the need for skilled workers. According to Speldewinde, prospective migrants will now have to submit an Electronic Expression of Interest (EOI) based on which they would be invited by the DIAC to file a visa application.
