Updated on Jul 15, 2013 07:57 pm IST
Bangladesh's chairperson of war crime facts-finding committee, MA Hasan backed demand for the ban of Jamaat-e-Islami, which has been accused of genocide and atrocities during the 1971 War for Independence. Hasan, on Sunday, demanded that people who practiced hate must be outlawed. The trigger for this year's spasm of unrest came in February when the tribunal sentenced a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami party to life in prison, sparing him execution. Hasan confirmed that civil societies all over the world had welcomed the verdict.
