Karachi rains claim 39 lives

Thirty-nine people were counted dead and over 150 injured with the toll expected to rise by 15, the Sindh governor confirmed on Saturday after the first lashing of monsoon rains battered Karachi. The Meteorological Department forecast, heavy rainfall are likely to lash Southern Sindh and the coastal areas of the province, including Karachi, over the next 36 to 48 hours.
