Former Pakistan ambassador to the US, Husain Haqqani, has been declared guilty today by a commission probing the alleged 'memogate' scandal that hit the country last year. The Memogate commission has concluded that Haqqani had authored the infamous note. Further, the Pakistan Supreme Court, headed by a nine-member bench has ordered Haqqani to appear in court in two weeks. The scandal had started last year after Pakistani-American businessman Mansoor Ijaz claimed he had asked him to pass on a memo, on behalf of Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, to the American government calling for their help to oust Islamabad's military leadership.
